Huis Landfort is a monumental mansion, built in 1250, positioned north of Megchelen in the "Gelderse Achterhoek", on a unique location, directly at the German border.
The estate is protected by the foundation "Het Geldersch Landschap", who sold the mansion in 2006 for private use. The estate, measures 49 hectares, and is open for visitors.
The owners combine the original character with modern elements and restored the monumental gardens according to J.D. Zocher's design from 1823.
